Just beat The Legend of Zelda, The Ocarina of Time. I downloaded it a few weeks ago on the Virtual Console and it’s kept me busy for a while. This game is considered by many to the the greatest video game ever made.
Despite being originally released in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, this game still holds up really well by even today’s standards. The simple blocky textured 3-D graphics are dated, but the gameplay and story still hold up, if not exceeds that of today’s great games. A great game.
Just beat Super Paper Mario. It was a pretty goofy game. Always liked the art style in the Paper Mario games. The mixture of 2-D and 3-D was a pretty cool idea.
Plus you could play as Luigi. It’s always been the utmost honor to play as Luigi, the man’s a plumbing genius.
Just finally beat The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It was quite an amazing game, I’d put it pretty high up on best games I’ve played list. Good mix of puzzle solving and fighting. Beat Ganondorf without getting any info online (not that I had a choice, Comcast was down).
Purchased Kirby’s Adventure for the Virtual Console on the Wii. The only Kirby game I ever played previous to this one was Kirby’s Canvas Curse on the DS, which was a very innovative game so I wanted to give this old NES release a shot.
Beat if fairly quickly (around 90%), but it was fun to play. Well worth the download, highly recommended.
Finally beat Super Castlevania IV. Been playing it on Virtual Console, forgot how difficult those old games were. Must confess that I did use the invisible steps trick to beat Dracula, but even with that he was still tough.
